Kat Edwards

Hi, I’m Kat Edwards, the historical mind in this duo! I have always loved Medieval history, and I am currently studying it – along with archaeology. My favourite historical fiction writers at the moment are: Elizabeth Chadwick, Phillipa Gregory and Barbara Erskine. ‘The Wild Hunt’ (Chadwick), ‘The White Queen’ (Gregory) and ‘Lady of Hay’ (Erskine) are amongst my most treasured books. I always enjoy researching and learning about strong female characters, like Elizabeth Woodville and Matilda de Braose, who feature in the novels mentioned above. I have also been writing for a long time, with various pieces of poetry and short stories published, my first piece of historical fiction was set in the Tudor period – a time which has fascinated me since childhood. Aside from history and writing, my interests mainly include music and art. I find music can be incredibly inspiring when writing, and so I am sure we will post some sound tracks to the novels soon enough!
